You can essentially double your mana pool or create a massive number of useful artifacts

It requires two to use, so at minimum, it will do 60, and it's not hard for it to do enough to complete knock out the opposing Pokemon

Your edge is now eight bucks, in the best case, the one where English prices never move at all

I can think of EDH decks that would be happy with either mode but I cant think of a deck that can really benefit from both modes without being built around it
