The first is a triggered ability: "When this permanent enters the battlefield, target player may search their library for a card named [name], reveal it, put it into their hand, then shuffle their library." (6/16/2023) Note that the target player searches their library (which may be affected by effects such as that of Stranglehold) and that the card they find is revealed, even though these words aren't included in the ability's reminder text
You can keep looping powerful abilities every turn cycle without ever losing your board
While Pokemon fans cant get enough of them, they seem to be particularly eager for the Obsidian Flames and the Ruler of the Black Flame sets
The cards text box is a complete mess, and given its place on the reserved list, it has never been reprinted with new templating
There are plenty of decks that sacrifice creatures on a turn by turn basis, and creating "hard" mana each time a death happens seems good to me
