Gitaxian Probe is the other interesting one here since it costs a blue Phyrexian mana (meaning you can pay two life instead of a blue mana), letting you peek at a players hand and draw a single card
You can stick with Edgar Markov and build an aggressive Vampire deck by adding more lords, Shared Animosity, and other aggressive tribal-matters cards, or you can go with Licia, Sanguine Tribune and build lifegain combo with Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood, Defiant Bloodlord, and the like

Its interesting to note that if you want to make the card get more incidental value, some versions of cards from the Portal sets have reminder text, like the Portal 2 version of Ravenous Rats (although I dont think that has a home, even in pauper cubes)
