The key is finding cards that wont likely be reprinted and offer unique enough effects so that they maintain at least some modest price growth on their own
Note that, with too few actual plane cards in the deck, the game could get into a degenerate loop when you continuously reveal phenomenon cards -- hence the warning about minimum deck size

This deck has been around for a while, and is enjoyed for its relatively easy-to-learn playstyle which feels pretty fair alongside all the evoke elementals and MTG cascade nonsense of late
