I've personally done vampires before--and I will agree with other posters that its an attractive trap (even when done incidentally)

Its just a generally decent rule-setter that can stymie some of the more oppressive spellslinger, artifact and enchantress decks in your meta

Not a lot at three mana that can stop six damage, so at the very least you are taking out a minion
