While the Battle Cry trigger can add up to enough damage to get someone over the edge and out of the game (seriously, think about how often you flip enough to get someone in single digits), the major benefit comes from getting otherwise blockable creatures to a power level that they force opponents to either trade or make unfavorable blocks
I'd say definitely playable, and reanimating a big guy t4 and then copying it t5 by embalming the vizier feels reeeeaaaaally good
