Tainted Remedy renders most lifegain effects useless and severly cripples creatures with lifelink

Its not the best card, but I do think its worth a look

Not too bad considering the mana it would take to take out the biggest threats on the board

At minimum, you can use this mana to give +3/+0 to a creature twice

The trick is that you can only attack (challenge) characters that are currently gaining victory points (questing) or using abilities (i.e., they are exerted), thereby preventing them from gaining more points
