Fossil Cards might not seem like much due to their low HP, inability to attack, and so forth, but these cards are one way to rid your deck of fluff basic Pokemon you don't really plan on using after setting up your main Pokemon
All it does is let you draw a card at the expense of giving your opponent 1000 Life Points
