The good news is that it comes with 8 booster packs and is the same MSRP as 8 booster packs, so from that perspective its not bad value

Beyond just the general strategy of ramp and +1/+1 counters as you can see from the ability of Magus Lucea Kane, theres also a theme of casting X spells

Maybe it should be a fourth Centaur Healer for the aggro matchups or a Sundering Growth to kill Runechanters Pike, but the idea here is that its good against other Detention Sphere decks and has some corner cases where its awesome

I have played with this card in Modern, and the reanimation benefit later in the game is always a better play than this becoming a copy of that card until end of turn

I suspect that time will come sooner rather than later
