Locust Miser Locust Miser is basically a slightly stronger version of Gnat Miser

Even the Score Paying three mana on top of is pretty standard for instant-speed card draw (see Stroke of Genius)

This card will compete with Maui to make the cut in a lot of lists

You can whip up all sorts of infinite combos with Kodama and a bounce land, with a notable one being Scute Swarm and Simic Growth Chamber

The remaining deck slots are filled with whatever cards fit the deck's theme and add to the overall synergy

In both cases, you take a perfectly serviceable support role, add 3 mana, and then have a creature that still has that ability, sure, but that can win gameswith a big ol beater
