It has nice ATK, it is easy to summon and actually sends the message that playing Sanctuary will give you free destruction effects
Defense Draw alongside Threatening Roar are available in the Power of the Dragon starter deck with Shard of Greed available in the Synchro of Unity starter deck
Many of these Pokemon also have unique effects you wont find in any other type roster
While there are a few examples of 61-plus card decks that have done well in tournaments, even many of those are quite arguableand for every one of those, I can point to 20 other decks of a similar archetype that were successful running 60 cards
