Many of its creatures, spells, and decks came in colors that traditionally work in opposite ways to one another
Its even weirder because MTG doesnt do sci-fi that much, barring the release of Warhammer 40K cards
Gems, however, are purchased with real money, or earned as rewards from some events
Online resources like EDHREC are perfect for finding powerful, popular cards you might've otherwise missed, but it's also great to go completely off-piste, figuring out different interactions between niche cards, and building something that's entirely your own
