I think that explains the seeming disconnect between articles by Commander authors which state, clearly (often citing Frank Karsten's work): Commander players aren't running enough lands, and they need to work to put more lands in their decks - and the next week they're right back to building with 37 lands
The first row has normal terrain, then the next 6 rows are: meadow, forest, sea, wasteland, dark, then another normal terrain row
Monster Tokens may be used as Tribute or material for Special Summoning methods (except Xyz Summon, as Xyz Materials are not treated as being on the field), but cannot be used to pay any cost that involve a monster moving to a specific location (they can be banished, as the banishment is not considered a location, but will still disappear permanently since they are leaving the field)
