Unlike toys or posters, getting a card tied directly to a game makes you want to go out and buy more of those cards , especially if it has incredible art like some of the best-looking Lorcana cards
Theres the usual balance considerations of other formats, but also things like whether or not a card promotes unhealthy play patterns for a four-player casual format
I've been playing and reporting on the best card games for a long time now, and Disney Lorcana is near the top of my favorites list (it's beaten only by Magic: The Gathering in my eyes)
Veteran Explorer needs to die for this to happen, whereas Avatar of Growth simply needs to enter play, and it often does so for just 3 mana
There are awkward draws where you stare at a clutch of expensive cascade cards
As I haven't even really got off the mono coloured decks yet I feel I am going to need to be a bit more ruthless on which cards get discussed and which I lump into bulk groups so to speak
