Turn three cast Kodamas Reach: Turn four we cast Heartbeat of Spring and use the extra mana it generates to active Krosan Verge: On Turn Five we cast Turnabout floating **WWUURRBBGG and cast Tiamat searching for Morophon, Miirym, Terror of the Peaks, Niv-Mizzet Reborn, and Scion of the Ur-Dragon and cast them in that order
Value: These Schemes give you as the Archenemy (and only you) something such as tokens or cards put onto the battlefield, to name a few resources potentially granted this way

However, Explosive Vegetation is slightly outclassed in modern Commander, and most alternatives offer some additional benefit: Skyshroud Claim can only find Forests, but it puts them into play untapped
Most zombie decks are fine with self mill and will gladly load up their own graveyards so they can get some sort of benefit, or just set up a big Rise of the Dark Realms to create a huge army
