What makes Aggravated Assault so damned good is the sheer number of ways to lean into it: youve got your Neheb, the Eternal and your Sword of Feast and Famine, for a start
Its a shame that we dont see the mechanic as much as we could, but I like to think that its thanks to a flavor issue rather than a power issue
It can give fetchlands a lot more value by earthbending them, making them return to play for incredible landfall combos, and it can make mana dorks and earthbent lands very efficient for otherworldly mana ramp
While its only a temporary solution as the cards go into your opponents hands, it will take other players a while to rebuild their board state, allowing you to fly ahead
