While a player wants to destroy/exile an opponent's Planeswalker and spends resources to do so and their opponent dedicates resources to protecting it, the roles are reversed with Battles, as its controller wants to dedicate resources with attack and damage their permanent, while the opponent must prevent its counters from being reduced to zero in order not to deal with a greater threat
Youll want to pair this bird commander with cards that make tokens while casting spells, like Third Path Iconoclast and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer
Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genuis handles this by having synergies that go beyond plot
Mind's Eye If we go purely by card-drawing efficiency, Mind's Eye is one of the greatest artifacts for Commander, letting you draw at the very least three extra cards per turn as long as you have available mana
I would advise playing them as the rules now suggest with that extra 3 mana cost, if at all
To me, this card is easily one of the most bankable of the set and certainly worth holding onto
