Anyway a decade-ish later, the PPTQ / RPTQ format had come out, and I could at least try to ladder up without the prohibitive travel historically required to try to grind back onto the Pro Tour
We played around with cards that each had abilities that added together, but it was clear we were missing something
TL;DR: One Piece TCG's official base rarities are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Leader, Super Rare, Secret Rare, and Special, with premium variants layered on top: Alternative Art, Treasure Rare (TR), and Manga Rare (rarest, with very low unpublished odds)
Few Pikachu cards command this level of prestige, and even fewer reach these prices
Simic cards are all about rewarding you for your hard work
