I always said both of these cards being in white was probably the greatest unintentional political statement Magic ever did, showing both sides were "good", from a certain perspective

It's clearly aimed at artifact decks, with the closest comparison being Gamble, a popular but more expensive red tutor

You can technically create monocolor decks, though as of the second release (Rise of the Floodborn), there isnt any benefit to doing so

This is a much spicier way to spend two mana than Counterspell, and at most tables, letting them resolve the spell later is fine

Many of these cards are played in Legacy and/or Vintage
