All that being said, Gideon Blackblade doesnt really fit in competitively
Umori, the Collector One of the Companions of old, Umori, is a perfectly good Commander in its own right
This combo is simply easier to execute under Storm, Force of Nature, and each of the pieces are also useful outside of this combo
Speaking of the mirror, it feels play/draw dependent (as always) but its also really dictated by Force and Subtlety: having them in your opener makes it really easy for you to execute your plan
From a creative standpoint, it seems the designers are listening to feedback about their recurring protagonists being too prominent, but sticking to their guns about worlds being connected to a larger narrative
Your opponents want to ensure each player gets at least one vote so they dont get a free permanent on the field, but you also want to make sure nobody draws too many cards
