The growing aspect is a perk but it is pretty minor

In my opinion, the most exciting part of any boss fight is when you defeat their second form and get to find out whether there is a third form

Further, as the deck's stopping power comes from Fusion monsters, so there are several cards you need to watch out for, including "Tyrant's Tummyache", "Dimensional Barrier", "And the Band Played On", and "Simul Archfiends" all have the potential to cripple the deck

and might want to play it as a 1/1 creature later, depending on what else is going on in the game
