This is useful in so many ways, ranging from getting preemptive damage counters on your opponent or even finishing them off so their next Pokemon takes the full damage from your oncoming attack for the turn

That's Abeyance in a nutshell: great for letting you get your own combos off while getting you through your deck, not so good when your opponent can still cast Viashino Sandstalker and attack you that turn

Nothing you cant paint over, but it does become annoying (and is noticeable if youre looking for it)
