You can tune a deck a lot of different ways, and one of the best pieces of advice I can give to people trying to branch out of their ingrained play patterns in Commander is this: Play bad cards

The roles you choose also offer a few different types of utility, allowing you to add meaningful abilities to your creatures as needed
