Its just a strong card in just about any deck, and because its colorless, it can literally go in every Commander deck going, too

Llanowar Elves deserve it through, as it has been at the center of plenty of decks for years, having been around since Magics earliest days

It is rare for cards to receive a ban early on after it is released, and then for it to make a return years later
