It punishes opponents slowly but surely, using a mix of removal, draining effects, and eerie synergies that make every game feel cinematic

If the copied permanent is copying something else, then the token enters the battlefield as whatever that permanent copied, with the stated exceptions
Populate is often added in a spells effect or the ability of a creature you control, and it cant be reacted to since it does not target
