Main drawbacks to this deck is it's weak against prolonged control/removal and it doesn't have a huge amount of answers for flyers but you can let your life total get fairly low thanks to Soulfire Grand Master & Mortal's Ardor and to be honest as long as you have two of the redirect creatures out one Blasphemous Act is usually all you need
The decks land ramp options are backed up by staples like Cultivate and powerful, cheap boosts like Explore, setting your mana production ahead by leaps and bounds
If you meet that condition, its one of the best damage prevention spells
In addition to taking away all the abilities of your opponents creatures, it also replaces itself upon entering the battlefield, and it is this clause which makes it very attractive in the value-oriented Modern environment
