The body compared to the Trademage is much smaller, but makes for a powerful draw when topdecking as you discard before you draw

This is usually wrong, lots of creatures are too big to Shock and lots of times people have spare mana to avoid getting Pierced

If you simply cast this spell from your hand for 3 mana, it will deal 2 damage to each opponent and each creature they control

These two are super-staples and should realistically be in most 60%+ power level decks that can play them, and you can kind of take them as a pair in terms of my pick logic

Over the course of the game, you will be winning by either out valuing your opponents or some explosive play where you quickly drop a large threat that wins in a few turns
