Still there is enough permanent based interaction and cards with additional cost that I could there being a deck somewhat built around this card
We also have lots of poison payoffs like Glistening Sphere, a 3-drop mana rock that proliferates and taps for 3, Distorted Curiosity, 1 mana draw 2, and Corrupted Resolve, a straight up Counterspell that is easier to cast
It does a bit more work in a multiplayer setting, but in 1v1 formats, it's not doing enough to warrant the card slot or spending 3 ink on it
With Atraxa, Grand Unifier, the first goal is to get her on the board as fast as possible
Unfortunately its not easy to explain how reprint sets work here, especially since we just had a couple of reprint sets whose cards include legality in multiple formats
