While reprints are expected as soon as July, and should continue for a while given the Final Fantasy expansion is part of MTGs standard set of cards (and thus legal in all tournament play), the difficulty of not only finding cards at the moment, but actually being able to afford them, has been a bit of a buzzkill.
A 4/5 for five with no evasion is rough body-wise, but you can easily suit him up with Auras and Equipment and grind your opponents out
There are a couple cards that generically care about historic spells, which gives them extra reach outside the context of just this deck and other equipment decks in formats like Commander
I'm certainly going to be chasing after Tod, and I suspect plenty of fans will be as well
Its a decently powerful card that can wipe out a bunch of weak creatures at once and grows stronger whenever an enemy creature dies, though it doesnt exactly make for a top-tier commander
