If you are able to get multiple copies of Magitek Infantry and cheap Job select equipment cards, you are well positioned to play a very aggressive tempo game

Cards like Boseiju, Who Endures, Arena of Glory, and Cori Mountain Monastery fulfill a similar role to MDFCs in that they provide a land with an additional or alternative mode so that you still have a way to spend your mana, even if you draw a bunch of lands
The other thing that Serrated Arrows had going for it was that it killed creatures via -1/-1 counters
With practice I imagine this would be easier
