The stand is a separate unit with a heavy concrete base

It flairs out toward the base and is available in a deep navy blue with celadon patterns

but over time softens to a lovely matte texture

Christine and Reid use a traditional stained glass technique to make these.. but in a non traditional way. Fabric is sandwiched between two pieces of glass to create each component, then everything is soldered together including a loop to hang it up. The bird includes an organza ribbon to hang. Green fabric with gold leaves ( fabric pattern may vary slightly).
