Rich violet base color with hand painted Sacred Heart motif, gilding applied by hand. Medallion below contains symbols of the Passion (Arma Christi): crosses, lance, reed, scourging column. This type of devotional porcelain was particularly popular in France after the Sacred Heart devotion became widespread in the 19th century. Has earlier repairs.
