Thomas took special care to make sure this piece was not too heavy to being with because once you add liquid to a pitcher it becomes quite heavy

glazed with the crystalline glaze that was used (in this case it was mauve slip with teal/green crystals) and then fired again

This pitcher holds 56 ounces with a little room left at the top
