a combination of chilli chocolate and peppercorns that drifted towards carnations but with overtones of beeswax polish and dripping candles

prunes and dried apricots that had been carefully positioned beside a dusty bottle of tawny port and a glass of sweet Tokaji wine

The smooth, sweet palate offered toffee and maple syrup, while more complex flavours fuelled our somewhat animated discussion baked apple, vanilla, mocha, toasted almond, some even found the finish reminiscent of Big Red
