Bound by Zaehnsdorf in full calf, gilt, prize binding signed and dated (Jan. 18 1893), with raised bands, gilt inner dentelles, and a small circular binder's device at the foot of inside lower board. 8vo (9. 5 x 6. 5 ins); pp xvi, 326, [4]; 42 engraved plates, including additional titlepage, one map, and numerous vignette engravings through the text. All edges gilt. Spine faded and corner tips
