This is a men’s 1950s overcoat made of superfine lambswool

It is hand applied onto a buckram type mesh backing - it is quite amazing how much work went into this

The pattern features a peacock tail pattern with a circular design in its centre that represents the Imperial Crest of the Empress of Japan

Note that dust has accumulated in the flowers (see last close-up photo)
