The lower branches may root out, therefore making it possible for the shrub to eventually grow quite wide! the "blush" in its name comes from the blushed red foliage and blushed pink (then white as they age) urn shaped flowers in winter. Little apple like fruits follow the flower clusters. This cultivar originated as a chance seedling (now 25+ years old)
