The background image used to create this scene was the a photo of a burnt out van

They used acrylic paints on the rough timber

mouths  and bow ties to the photo

The natural markings presented the images of B1 & B2, (Bananas in Pajamas) and by adding a few facial features these two personalities showed their face.
