The combination of its +1 and -2 ability means that its hard to fight this card efficiently, and it gets better when you have graveyard synergies or discard incentives in play like Bandit's Talent
If you are buying a card with a high monetary value, remove it from the sleeve if allowed, and feel it with your hands, with light taps, feel it
Not that much could challenge a 9/9 in the air
If you have cards like Final Task, Necromancer Lord, Corpse Taker,or Army of the Apocalypse , you can do it again, steadily growing your hand size while being able to throw the golem into the fray
It immediately removes your opponent's best creature
I admit theres a pull towards Blast of Genius because Ill likely wheel either Laboratory Maniac or Living Lore, but I still think Wild Mongrel gets the nod due to efficiency and archetype flexibility
