The most fun part about Skullbriar is that we can permanently pump him up with keyword counters, giving him indestructible with Daring Fiendbonder, hexproof with Slippery Bogbonder, a whole bunch with Scavenged Brawler, and trample with Titanoth Rex
They can also fall quickly after bans, reprints, or metagame shifts
Mana Drain Mana Drain takes the idea of Counterspell and turns it up to an absurd level: You counter your opponents spell, then you get a burst of mana on your next main phase equal to the mana value of what you stopped
An excellent finisher that turns your opponents greatest deceased threats against them
The card itself is a sizable flying threat that can surprise opponents by being flashed in at the end of their turn, and its flicker effect can trigger another one of your enter the battlefield effects, save a creature from removal, or both
