This exceptional piece is a Nanbu Satetsu (sand iron) tetsubin handcrafted by Koizumi Nizaemon

水平紫砂壶在众多壶型中较为特殊，按造型，它属于光货中的圆器：圆腹、环把、流直、球钮；按大小，它属于微型壶。

顾老依据潘春芳的设计，改进成为目前的这款万分出彩的壶型；

1949年以后，紫砂进入了一个微妙的发展时期，从1956年紫砂合作社成立，到1966年文革开始，紫砂分粗货和细货两类，粗货就是日用的普通茶壶，细货就是工艺品。当时，民国绿泥只用于细货，而且一定是提供给手艺特别高的人做，生怕这精贵的原料给糟蹋了。
