Lot 106 - Antique Japanese Clay Figural Incense Burner (Koro), Seated Man in Kimono with Open Mouth, Polychrome Painted, 5" H 2690 while the third and fourthAntique Japanese clay figural incense burner (koro) in the form of a seated man with an open mouth. The figure is dressed in layered kimono robes with a polka dot pattern and holds a small vessel in one hand, with a black inro suspended at his waist by a cord. The head is partially shaved with black hair painted at the sides and back in a traditional chonmage style. The base features a molded scrolling pattern. The body is hollow with an open bottom.
