Magic has messed around in this space many times (threshold, flip cards, level-up, etc.)
The only drawback to its use in Standard is that it's a pricey card, costing five mana
I avoided cards that cost around $10+ to keep the deck from getting too expensive
It's cool to see Magic: The Gathering continuing this trend of using the number seven in its mechanics for Final Fantasy 7 characters, as it's a solid nod to the precedent set by the original game
