The logic was that there are several cards that should either be removed from the format (Hiram, Diablo, Sisu, A Whole New World, among others), as well as some that could use some updates
Assassin's Creed Was Made For Etrata So a few months ago I made 25 Commander Decks Under $25 and one of my favorite decks to come from it was Etrata, Deadly Fugitive: it's an aggressive tempo deck that is all about attacking with cheap evasive assassins to maximize Etrata's manifest ability, essentially doubling our army each swing and also letting us play the manifested cards
Its a cool idea, but one that isnt technically legal in any format outside of a Rule 0 discussion, which is really kind of a shame
Like previous Commander releases, all of Commander 2019s decks were designed around a central theme, and this year that theme is Mechanics
Its like a Demonic Pact that doesn't make you lose the game
